As a content creator/variety streamer that has experienced good and bad throughout my time streaming, I thought I would do a small article highlighting one of the things that annoy me more than anything when it comes to streaming.
So many streamers claim to be your friend and will literally just drop you instantly, No loyalties whatsoever. I have witnessed this so many times recently to myself and some of the people I class as friends and truly respect.
These people will literally use any opportunity to try and break you or even attempt to surpass your achievements because they have the mindset of a 4-year-old girl.
The main reason I wanted to write about this is because personally I have encountered the same things within the streaming community and I know how badly you can be affected. I questioned whether I wanted to continue as a content creator and even was I good enough to have the status I have worked tirelessly hard for?
The answer to that is “YES” if you’ve put in the effort and worked hard enough to achieve your status you deserve it, Let the haters just continue because it all boils down to jealousy.
I personally have seen people go to the extents of trying to turn people against each other, Racism, Sexism and it is horrible to witness, Should these people be allowed to stay on a platform if the same names pop up everywhere because they cause drama?
I’m at the stage now where I try to keep myself as professional as I can be but I feel like after seeing my friends upset and also being targeted myself I can feel the time coming where I’m going to explode and put out some home truths about certain individuals, Does that make me a bad person?
If people cannot be happy for one and other then surely you have the wrong mindset to be a good streamer, support and networking is the main way to grow and improve personally anyone who just sets out to cause friction just shows there true colours and will look back in the future and realise why they failed and have no friends.
